Video: 2011 BMW X1 SUV Prototype Fooling Around at the Arctic Circle

BMW seems to believe that Arctic Circle is not only an ideal test ground but also a perfect playground for its forthcoming X1 SUV / Crossover which is seen here in prototype form fooling around in the snow. If you could magically strip away the X1's psychedelic camouflage, with the exception of a few minor details, what you would get is the production version of last year's X1 Concept that was shown at the Paris Salon. The X3's smaller sibling is expected to hit European and international markets in both four-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive configurations by the end of 2009.
